McKinney firefighters save woman from burning home in rooftop rescue
A mother and her daughter were transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

A woman was rescued from the rooftop of her burning home early Sunday morning in McKinney.
After helping her mother escape from the residence, located in the 6300 block of Avalon Woods Drive, the woman went back inside to retrieve her cellphone and was unable to exit, according to the McKinney Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived to find the resident stranded on the roof of the home. The woman was brought to safety after rescuers deployed a ladder. ....
