The cover, an Eve Arnold photo showing female militia fighters heading into battle, is a good visual harbinger of the albumâs friction-filled songs. Jane Munroâs monster basslines, Pete Hammondâs tight drum rhythms, and the jagged riffs of Lesley Woods and Paul Foad combine to form a tense backdrop ....

Crowded House Release New Single Playing With Fire Thursday, 13 May 2021 Crowded House have released a new single, Playing With Fire. The indie-pop track with big band elements is taken from their first album in over 10 years, Dreamers Are Waiting , which is due out on June 4. Lead vocalist and guitarist Neil Finn said: “This song was formed out of a Crowded House jam, live in the studio but then evolved its character through many twists and turns during quarantine in 2020. ‘Playing With Fire’ carries within it the contradiction I often feel on joyous occasions, the presence of hope together with an impending sense of doom.” ....
