ELLWOOD CITY Get ready for peaches, pies, baked goods, berries, garlic, goodies, jams, jellies and greens because the Ellwood City Farmers Market is coming back.
This year, the market will take place from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday between June 5 and Oct. 9 in the municipal parking lot at 500 Beaver Ave., and will feature lots of local meats, produce and products, as well as live music and entertainment, so that residents can get groovy while getting their groceries.
The market, funded by an anonymous grant, is organized by Ellwood City Revitalization, part of the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce, and overseen by Co-curb Masters Katy Mook-McGrath, owner of Katy s Homestyle Bakery and More, and her husband, Michael McGrath.

PORT CLINTON - Port Clinton High School announced the Senior Spotlight for February is Elliot Auxter.
Auxter is a busy student and accomplished young man achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts. His Eagle Scout project was refurbishing the City Hall lobby.
He is involved in many student groups and athletics at Port Clinton High School. He was a four-year member and captain of the boys cross country team, four-year member and captain of the boys tennis team and captain of the boys basketball team.
He has received the Kiwanis Scholar Athlete Award all four years of high school and named to the Sandusky Bay Conference All Academic Team.
