Growing up in the underdeveloped community of Port Loyola, Pitts dreamed of becoming a lawyer, like many Belizean do, but ended up an educator, a city councilor, and now, a diplomat. Sir Colville Young Demits Office As Belize’s Governor General May 1, 2021 In Belize’s history, Belize has had two Governor Generals, Dr. Dame Minita Gordon who was later followed by Sir Colville Young. The incendiary comments has stirred the ire of public officers who have launched a social media frontal assault on Briceño. The comments come at the most inopportune time as public officers gear up to resist the Briceño administration proposal. It seems that Briceño has very little tact in public speaking as it has not been the first time that he has had this kind of outburst that did not sit well with the general public. Just a few weeks ago he lamented that Belizeans are limited in talent. ....
