BLM issues seasonal fire restrictions for most of central California Temporary fire restrictions will include target shooting limitations EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management announces seasonal fire restrictions, including temporary limitations on target shooting, effective May 21. The restrictions are for public lands managed by the Central Coast, Mother Lode and Ukiah field offices due to dry conditions and wildland fire danger. These seasonal restrictions are in addition to the year-round statewide fire prevention order, issued on April 28, 2020, and will remain in effect until further notice. BLM-managed public lands affected by the restrictions are primarily located in Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, western Fresno, Glenn, Lake, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Benito, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba counties. Reporter Heather Clisby has details … The Morongo Basin Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) will gather online tonight and included on the agenda is the explosion of illegal marijuana grows in the area. Wonder Valley Delegate Steve Reyes will present on this issue and MAC members will discuss Resolution No. MB-MAC021 that offers support for Supervisor Dawn Rowe and the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department. The resolution requests more funding and additional code enforcement personnel to tackle the issue. The evening also will feature public safety reports from local fire and law enforcement, a Chairman’s Report as well as individual reports from each of the nine non-incorporated regions: Copper Mountain Mesa, Desert Heights, Flamingo Heights, Joshua Tree, Landers, Morongo Valley, Pioneertown, Wonder Valley, and ....
