A couple suspected in a pair of burglaries in Olema and Point Reyes Station is at large, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and the manager at Due West. A man and a woman were captured on video surveillance breaking into the market in Olema on the night of Thursday, Dec. 17, the same night that Café Reyes was also burglarized. The burglars used a flathead screwdriver to pry open the front door of the market and force their way into the register, taking around $350, an old iPhone and some snacks. At Café Reyes, they entered through an unlocked door and again emptied the register of about $400. The owner lives upstairs but did not hear the break-in. The sheriff’s office believes the two incidents are related. The following night, the manager at Due West saw a suspicious vehicle idling in the back of the parking lot.
