Kristy Noble elected to lead the Dallas County Democratic Party
Noble won in the third round of an in-person and virtual contest to replace retiring chairwoman Carol Donovan.

Dallas businesswoman Kristy Noble was sworn in Thursday morning as the new chairwoman of the Dallas County Democratic Party.
Noble, 50, emerged victorious after hours of voting in a five-person race to replace Carol Donovan, who announced in May that she was resigning after six years as chairwoman of the party.

Donovan served for six years. A replacement will be named in June.

Dallas County Democratic chairwoman Carol Donovan is leaving her post later this year after a replacement is selected among party leaders.

Dallas County Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Donovan announced her resignation Sunday, citing the loss of her mother to COVID-19 and a new focus on the finiteness of life and the limited time we all have to cherish what is most important to us,” according to a statement from the DCDP.
“Thanks to a great staff, strong leadership (including our Precinct Chairs and other elected officials), and the effective work we have done together, I know I am leaving DCDP in a good position,” Donovan wrote in the statement.
