FREDERICK, Md. (CN)   Two men are in critical condition Tuesday morning after being shot by a 38-year-old Navy medic at Riverside Technology Park in Maryland.
While the medic has not been identified, U.S. Navy officials say he drove from the Riverside Technology Park to the military base Fort Detrick, about 10 minutes away, where he was shot and killed. Fort Detrick as well as Frederick-area schools and colleges had been placed on lockdown after the police were alerted to the shooting shortly after 8 a.m. According to ABC news, base officials have confirmed that the shooter was stationed at Fort Detrick. ....

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) Authorities say a Navy medic shot and critically wounded two people at a Maryland business park before fleeing to the Fort Detrick Army base, where he was shot and killed.
Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said at a news conference that the man entered a business at the Riverside Tech Park on Tuesday, causing people inside to flee, but it was unclear if the shooting took place inside or outside.
Lando said that after the shooting, the man drove about 10 minutes to Fort Detrick, where he was shot by base personnel. ....

April 6 (UPI) Fort Detrick military personnel fatally shot a U.S. Navy corpsman suspected of critically injuring two men Tuesday at a nearby business park in Maryland.
A 38-year-old Navy medic critically injured two men by shooting them at Riverside Tech Park in Frederick, Md., according to the city police department, The Baltimore Sun reported. ....

An active-duty sailor shot two adults today in Frederick, Md., before driving to a nearby Army installation and being killed by base personnel, Navy and local police officials said.
Police and military officials said Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet shot two Navy personnel at 8:20 a.m. inside a building in the Riverside Technology Park, though they did not comment during the afternoon news conference on any motive or speculate whether Woldesenbet knew the victims personally. ....
