81 cops promoted April 30, 2021 Islamabad: A total of 81 head constables of Islamabad police have been promoted to next rank, following recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the force. Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, a meeting of DPC was held. The meeting presided over by DIG (Headquarters) and Chairman DPC Kamran Adil was attended among others by AIG Special Branch, SSP (Headquarters), SSP (Traffic) and DSP (Legal), a news release said. The committee reviewed 81 cases of head constables and two clerical staff. It gave approval to promote 81 policemen to the next rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector after scrutinizing their entire record. ....
Jind: Jind police landed in controversy after a 60-year-old Covid patient allegedly died in a hospital in Ghaziabad, in Uttar Pradesh for want of oxygen, as the supply got interrupted by the Gatauli police chowki in the district on Monday night. A relative of the patient Rajender Singh has lodged a complaint with the deputy inspector general and superintendent of police of Jind that he got a call from his relative that one of their family members is admitted in hospital and needed oxygen as the hospital’s oxygen supply was likely to finish by 3-4am. The victim alleged that he arranged two oxygen cylinders and sent a person Gurpreet Singh alias Nikka to deliver oxygen to the patient in a hospital in Ghaziabad from Dhuri town of Sangrur district in Punjab. ....
Cops awarded for performance April 29, 2021 MANSEHRA: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sanaullah Abbasi has awarded District Police Officer Asif Bahadur and his team’s members for busting an Afghanistan-based gang of robbers and recovered looted gold, cash and other valuables. The Police Department said in a press release the IGP gave away cash prizes and performance certificates to the District Police Officer Asif Bahadur, SP (investigation) Hafiz Janis Khan, Investigation in-charge Riaz Shah, Khaki Station House Officer Sub-Inspector Mohammad Nawaz, Counter-Terrorism Department Mardan’s Assistant Sub-Inspector Asif Khan and policemen and other staff for busting the gang of robbers. ....
SunStar SunStar File April 29, 2021 MORE than 400 members of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO 7)’s Crisis Response Battalion (CRB) are set to vacate their temporary barracks at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) next month. This as the Cebu City Government decided to reopen the CCSC to joggers beginning Monday, May 3, 2021. Members of the CRB have made the CCSC their temporary home since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic last year as they were tapped to enforce minimum health protocols in the city. With the scheduled reopening of the CCSC to the public next month, CRB members will be relocated to the city’s 11 police stations and will stay in gyms managed by the barangays. ....
