The forlorn image of a sick, little girl lying in a hospital bed is all the more heartbreaking because we know she has spent almost her entire life in detention. Equally abhorrent to myself and many Australians is isolating and depriving two innocent children of their freedom and right to a normal childhood. What is their crime?
