The 18th century painting shows the Blessed Virgin Mary untying knots in a white ribbon held by two angels, surrounded by biblical scenes expressive of HOPE, MERCY, and VICTORY OVER EVIL. ....

With his inauguration, Biden makes his return to 'Catholic Washington'

WASHINGTON (RNS) When President Joe Biden took the oath of office on Wednesday (Jan. 20), he became only the second Catholic president in U.S. history.
