derrick. reporter: well, you will find that the garage is indeed open. but you ll also find more cars than usual at this hour a lot of motorists came back to find back that their cars were part of a crime scene. this happened at 7:00 last night. montgomery county police and metro transit police responded to a call here at wheaton garage for shots fired when they got to the garage, an adult male had been shot. that person died. now, there was a search of the garage and the westfield plaza which is adjacent to the metro garage. they did take two people into custody, people they re calling persons of interest. and a short time after that montgomery county police said they need not worry about a gunman on the loose. we do not know the name of the victim. at the height of the investigation trains were passing by wheaton station, part of georgia avenue was closed. indeed the garage was closed. all of that has returned to normal. again, we re awaiting the identity of that fatal sh
