Review: Young adult love story 'Finding You' finds plenty of sap

Review: Young adult love story Finding You finds plenty of sap A trip to Ireland is packed with teenage fantasies in this cheesy but harmless romantic fable Adam Graham View Comments In the earnest Ireland-set young adult romance Finding You, the clichés are as big as the Cliffs of Moher.  Rose Reid stars as Finley Sinclair, a violin student from New York who goes on a semester abroad in Ireland. On the way there, she meets a movie star (Jedidiah Goodacre) and they flirt the whole plane ride, and it turns out they re staying at the same host house, a cozy B&B in the small Irish town of Carlingford. Imagine that!

'Finding You' review: YA romance on a quest for the obvious - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Print The California Times is committed to reviewing new theatrical film releases during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because moviegoing carries inherent risks during this time, we remind readers to follow health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC and local health officials. We will continue to note the various ways readers can see each new film, including drive-in theaters in the Southland and VOD/streaming options when available. To convey the experience of the young-adult romance “Finding You,” here are some characters: There’s protagonist Finley Sinclair, a tall, blond violinist; heartthrob actor Beckett Rush and unfeeling manager-father Montgomery Rush; Beckett’s shallow costar Taylor Risdale; and there are regular Irish folks named Seamus (who is habitually drunk), Molly and Patrick.
