Danger driver enjoyed adrenaline rush of trying to outrun police, court hears A DANGER driver’s “adrenalin rush” upped his speed to 100mph when he was being pursued by the police for racing another car. Jordan Firth was out for a drive at midnight when officers spotted him racing the other vehicle, Bradford Crown Court heard today. Firth, 21, of Beldon Lane, Wibsey, Bradford, ignored the police’s sirens and blue lights and accelerated away in freezing weather conditions, the court was told. He drove down Rooley Lane, Wakefield Road, Manchester Road and Halifax Road into Shelf in six minutes before his car was stopped by a “stinger” device. ....

In Grantham, the Royal Queen pub in Belton Lane, Wyndham Park Visitor Centre and Grantham Scout Hall in Broad Street will host polling booths. Voters can cast their votes for their preferred candidate for Lincolnshire County Council seats and for the role of police and crime commissioner. Nean Asher, of Community Books, Welby Street, wanted to ensure that pupils were given the opportunity to learn all about Captain Tomâs achievements and legacy. The mum-of-two said: âWe were all touched by Captain Tomâs story. His determination to raise £1,000 at nearly 100 years old was incredible and the millions he raised was amazing. A BRADFORD family is absolutely devastated after a car crashed into their Horton Bank Top home, leaving a big hole in the side of their house. The crash, which involved a black Audi Q7, took place in the early hours of Friday morning on Poplar Grove. The black Audi Q7 was reported stolen and the vehicle failed to stop for officers shortly before the incident. Shortly after the car smashed into the home on Poplar Grove at 4.06am, the driver and the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene. The residents of the house, Cath Smith and Alan Hill, were asleep at the time but did not hear the crash from the opposite side of their long bungalow home. ....
