Josh Green, MD is a local doctor who has spent his life caring for Hawaii families. After finishing medical school, Dr. Green traveled to South Africa where he worked in missionary hospitals as a volunteer physician, treating a rural population overwhelmed by AIDS and malaria. In 2009, Green was named Hawaii Physician of the year and in 2008 he was elected to the Hawaii State Senate where he served as Majority Floor leader. ....

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) â As the pandemic and its effects continue to dominate the lives of many Kentuckians, Gov. Andy Beshear delivered a virtual State of the Commonwealth Thursday.
The governor began his address by discussing the state s response to the coronavirus and presented a budget he said will help Kentucky lead in a post-COVID economy.
When the full story of this pandemic is told, team Kentucky will stand tall on how we took care of one another, he said during the address.

Looking back on the year that was, it can be surmised that if there is anything good that the pandemic was able to do, it was to bring out the best in all of us and I can particulary say so in the case of the city officials, employees, and residents of Manila.
In the case of my beloved Manilans, they were and still are able to prove that they can follow rules to the letter and make the necessary sacrifices, if doing so would benefit the country as a whole. This came to the fore in the case of lockdowns and following mandated health protocols and they do make me proud. ....

According to The Louisville Courier-Journal, the future of the horse racing community in Kentucky could be at stake after a recent state Supreme Court ruling on historical horse racing (HHR). The supreme court dealt a blow to the racing industry in September when it ruled that one manufacturer s HHR terminals don t comply with the legal definition of pari-mutuel wagering in the state.
Supporters and opponents of HHR appeared before the General Assembly s Interim Joint Committee on Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations to discuss the path forward for HHR. ....
