The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn has caused widespread despair and feelings of vulnerability. May is mental health awareness month, and these panelists will explore the impact of COVID-19 on mental health and Hawaii’s response to people suffering from mental health challenges.

Josh Green, MD is a local doctor who has spent his life caring for Hawaii families. After finishing medical school, Dr. Green traveled to South Africa where he worked in missionary hospitals as a volunteer physician, treating a rural population overwhelmed by AIDS and malaria. In 2009, Green was named Hawaii Physician of the year and in 2008 he was elected to the Hawaii State Senate where he served as Majority Floor leader.
