Anna Dravland does it again. The woman behind Spread Goodness Day has spearheaded another successful charitable event called Bundle UP MQT.
New and used winter clothing items such as hats, scarves, jackets and mittens were donated by the public through Bennett Media Group in Marquette and ModelTots and Dis n’ Dat in Gwinn.
The items were placed on Saturday through Harlow Park in Marquette where anybody who needed them were welcome to take them with no questions asked.
Dravland estimated that 75% of the items were taken, with the leftovers to be donated to local nonprofits.
It’s been a fairly mild winter so far, but more cold weather and snow undoubtedly is on the way, so bundling up will be much easier now that more people have garb suited for Upper Peninsula weather. ....
