The smoke could be seen from several miles away, and the flames spread to nearby grass and other vehicles. No buildings were involved. Four engines, two battalion chiefs, the Fire Marshal s Office and Eugene police responded to the scene. No injuries were reported, and the fire has been brought under control. Police earlier reported that Highway 99 was closed at Royal Avenue and Bethel Drive due to a fire. ....
