KYLE SCHOUW, ART DIRECTOR & DESIGNER
Kyle is a multi-disciplinary creative from South Africa. He has over 7 years’ experience in advertising, branding and design across a multitude of sectors. In 2017 he was awarded a gold Cannes Young Lion in the design category, a first for Ireland. In 2019 he was fortunate enough to work with UN Women to develop the creative platform for Women Count, a global initiative which seeks to radically change how gender statistics are addressed globally.
 
For Kyle, the positive impact work has on peoples’ lives is a core tenant to his unique creative approach. Kyle is also a published portrait photographer. His passion for image making and photography compliments his work and allows him to express and share personal reflection through a different medium. ....

To advance an affirmative answer to this question, the
World Development Report (WDR) 2021: Data for Better Lives calls for a new social contract for data that ensures better representation for marginalized people. This means that data captured and analyzed in data systems reflect the needs of ALL people. While data are generally undersupplied and underused for the purposes of improving lives, they are severely undersupplied and underused for the purposes of helping girls and women, who represent half of the world’s total population.  ....

Results of the rapid gender assessment surveys on the impact of COVID-19 in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico | News and events: Events calendar

Recognizing the high impact of COVID-19 in the Americas and Caribbean region, UN Women is conducting rapid gender assessments (RGAs) to better understand how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting peoples’ lives in terms of the socio-economic impacts, distribution of care work, and access to basic goods and services.
To this end, UN Women partnered with the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity (MinMujeryEG) of Chile, the National Institute for Women (INMUJERES) of Mexico, and the Presidential Council for Women s Equity (CPEM) of Colombia, to carry out RGAs in each country in 2020.
During the event, results from these surveys will be presented to unpack how women and girls are being impacted by the pandemic in each country, followed by a panel discussion on the importance of such data as complementary to official statistics, as well as a comparative overview of the three RGAs. ....
