Cheyenne Frontier Days has announced plans for its 125th-anniversary celebration, along with Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon and Cheyenne Mayor Patrick Collins, at a news conference at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Event Center. The festival will return to Frontier Park from July 23 to August 1.
Organizers are working closely with and taking guidance from the Governor’s Office and public health officials, including the Global Center for Health Security at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. While they are prepared to implement COVID procedures for cleanliness and sanitation and will make adjustments as health and safety circumstances dictate, they do not expect any attendance limitations for concerts, rodeo, or other CFD outdoor events.
It was devastating when COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Cheyenne Frontier Days in 2020. But a new year is binging renewed excitement for the Daddy of em All. Plus, this year the return of CFD means the return of Garth Brooks to Cheyenne!
The 125th Cheyenne Frontier Days will be July 23 through August 1, 2021, at Frontier Park in Cheyenne, Wyoming (MAP).
Who is Performing at Cheyenne Frontier Days 2021?

People who lived in Cheyenne 45 years ago may remember the old Cheyenne Frontier Days theme song playing on the radio: “Cheyenne Frontier Days, here we go again. A big Wyoming showdown where the cowboy is the king.”
You could say the event is even more special now because the largest outdoor rodeo in the world was canceled for the first time in 124 years in 2020 due to the pandemic. But it’s roaring back in 2021 for its 125th anniversary.
Gov. Mark Gordon made the announcement on Wednesday alongside Cheyenne Mayor Patrick Collins and Frontier Days CEO Tom Hirsig that the “Daddy of ‘Em All” is not only back, but at 100% capacity.
