The tug of war between Governor DeSantis and the CDC over cruise ship restrictions continues. FOX 13 s Jordan Bowen reports.
TAMPA, Fla. - Late Saturday night, a federal appeals court voted 2-to-1 to temporarily block a judge’s ruling that would have allowed the CDC s guidelines for cruises ships to restart in the U.S. to go from being required rules to recommendations.
It s a major win for the CDC, but a loss for Governor DeSantis.
The cruise lines have accepted the fact that they are going to have to follow some type of CDC regulations, Florida Ports Council Interim President Mike Rubin said. ....

Beginning Wednesday, a U.S. District Judge will hear arguments in the case.
The attorney general is asking for a preliminary injunction against the restrictions that they say have kept the industry on lockdown for more than a year.
The fight to get Florida s cruise line industry back on course will soon play out in court.
The CDC specifically has refused to put in place workable guidance to allow cruise ships to begin sailing again, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said.
