The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education has approved the hire of Nicole McCarville as the district’s new Director of Business Affairs. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and currently works as the Chief Financial Officer for New Hope Village in Carroll, where she has served in that role for the last eight years. McCarville has also been involved in several local non-profit organizations, including the United Way of Carroll, Community of Concern and Lions Club. McCarville will be replacing long-time Director of Business Affairs, Gary Bengtson, following his retirement at the end of the fiscal year. Carroll Broadcasting has reached out to McCarville and will bring you more from her in upcoming newscasts.

Burning Bush church hosting vaccination clinic
The Burning Bush Baptist Church is scheduled to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, 14849 Seventh Street, Victorville. The clinic is being held in partnership with St. Mary Health Center and Azusa Pacific University.
Vaccinations will be provided to the community by appointment only and based on San Bernardino County eligibility requirements and supply. The public is invited to register for the clinic online at www.tinyurl.com/VaccineClinic415 to receive a Moderna vaccine. Outreach on Saturday in Victorville to assist homeless and needy students

God s Hand Extended will partner with other non-profit organizations to host a support event for “It Takes A Village,” the Victor Valley College program that assists its homeless and needy student population.
Susan Conway, the founder of God’s Hand, said VVC students and faculty are invited to the support event that begins at 11 a.m. Saturday at Victorville First Assembly of God on Nisqualli Road.
“We will have free food boxes, clothing, resources, (a) taco man, Kona Ice and other activities,” Conway said. “We want to encourage the students to meet and greet each other and to get plugged into our community and the new program at VVC.”
