Fire crews respond to Rogers house fire

ROGERS, Ark. Fire crews responded to a house fire on Plank Road in Rogers at around 2 p.m. Saturday (July 4).
Fire Chief Blake Ballou, says the house was fully involved when fire crews arrived on the scene.
No one was injured during the fire. The house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Piney Point Fire Department was assisted by Beaver Lake Fire Department and Rocky Branch Fire Department.

ROGERS, Ark. The Beaver Lake Fire Department is needing the community s help to purchase new equipment, and it comes with a hefty price-tag.
After responding to 881 calls in 2020, a fire on Christmas Day revealed a major problem with some of the department s gear.
Chief John Whisenaunt says four out of fourteen of the department s SCBA air packs are unusable, and it’s going to cost $135,000 to have them replaced. Whisenaunt says firefighters use the air packs to breathe while working in toxic environments, and it’s important the department purchases more to keep crews safe and able to do their duties. ....

ROGERS, Ark. Emergency crews responded to a boat fire at the Rocky Branch Marina on Beaver Lake Wednesday (Feb. 17).
Beaver Lake Fire crews responded with Piney Point and NEBCO FD to assist with the fire.
According to the Rocky Branch Fire Department, the fire started around 5:15 p.m.
When firefighters arrived two boats were fully covered in flames. A third was in danger of catching fire but firefighters were able to cut it loose and save it. ....

Mercy EMS contract extended in southeastern Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. Benton County and Mercy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will continue their collaboration to serve southeastern Benton County residents through 2023.
Mercy EMS covers the following fire districts of the following volunteer fire departments: Beaver Lake, Rocky Branch, Piney Point, Highway 94 East, Hickory Creek and Pleasure Heights. Residents of the unincorporated Lowell area are also included.
