Hong, who has worked at Twin Pines Housing Trust for 13 years, will begin leading the nonprofit organization that assists low-income homeowners with home repair projects in September, following two months of part-time training, according to a news release. She will succeed Bill Neukomm, who has served as executive director since spring 2016. ....

Out & About: East Corinth library art contest focuses on 2020 reflections Modified: 1/21/2021 10:06:57 PM EAST CORINTH The COVID-19 pandemic has brought out a lot of strong emotions: Sadness, anger and even some small moments of joy among them. It’s also inspired people to take up their pens, paintbrushes or other mediums to express themselves. With that in mind, East Corinth’s Blake Memorial Library is asking people to submit their works of art and written thoughts about the pandemic to an art contest titled “Reflecting on 2020 Lessons, Frustrations, Silver Linings.” “I thought it might be a nice way to encourage people to get creative,” library assistant Kimberly Hotelling said. ....
