And the strange, terrible events had only just occurred. I worked homicide, but by the end of my career what it was 20 years. As a matter of fact, police didnt know at first that he had been shot. This is the tree the car came to rest on. He was taken from the accident scene by accident to the hospital. Thats where they found out that he had been shot. We can show you a picture of mr. Parker. He is 5 he was 59 years old, we should say. He lived in this neighborhood for a long time. People here knew him. And liked him very well. What Police Believe happened is he was driving in his car. A family members tell me he was on his way to get a prescription for his elderly motherinlaw when for some reason, somehow, someone came up to the car. That person had a gun. Opened fire. And hit mr. Parker in the head. At first it was expected he would be fine. Then his condition deteriorated. He did die overnight. We had an opportunity to speak to some of his neighbors. They say theyare crushed. He was a great dude. A good neighbor. Generally on saturday mornings we woul ....
County board chair who has supported the street car project all along. It would have affected businesses here along columbia pike at the county Government Office today. He announced that he will make it official today at the county Board Meeting and they just voted on it, 41, by offering a motion to discontinue the street car motion after seeing what happened on november 4 he he cant ignore the election and the fact that voters supported the candidate who made opposition to the street cars central part of his campaign. Now that they plan scrapping the project he and b. W. I. , thurgood marshall, those could be tied or broken.
