Local governments have been looking for help in coming up with medical marijuana controlling ordinances before it becomes legal on July first.
Brian McGinnis with Planning District Three in Yankton has been working with local officials and says there are a couple of options now…
McGinnis says some localities are going toward complete regulation…
McGinnis says all of those efforts could change if and when the state comes up with rules.
All the action is in reaction to the vote approving “IM26” last November.

Another round of hundreds of millions of federal dollars will be heading to the state under the “American Rescue Plan” passed by Congress earlier this year.

Now that you’ve done that, forget everything you just imagined. Grainworks Brewing Company and Holtman’s Donuts have teamed up to create a mind-bending brew that takes a hard left turn from your preconceived notions.
This Saturday at their West Chester Brewery between 1-4 p.m. Grainworks will celebrate the release of its Lime Coconut Donut Gose, a beer inspired by Holtman’s new lime coconut donut. The gose – a tart and slightly salty unfiltered beer – is flavored with lime, toasted coconut and “a few other secret ingredients to create a donut-like taste,” according to a Grainworks release. ....

The School of Hospitality Business Management at Washington State University will kick off its annual Hospitality Week Tuesday, March 2, featuring a lineup of virtual events open to the public, including the Bellhop and celebration of new inductees into the SHBM Hall of Fame.
Tuesday’s events include an expert industry panel at 9 a.m. that will feature hospitality experts discussing career opportunities and challenges in the hospitality industry. Registration is available on the expert industry panel website. Panelists include:
