The refurbishment of the play area has recently been completed. However, a small amount of surfacing and repainting was not included in the original contract for the work. Clerk of the community council Michael Morris told councillors: If you remember we provided a £5,000 grant to supplement what Wrexham Council were putting in to refurbish the play area at Pentre Gwyn. That work has now been completed. There was just one thing they didn t do, and it was not included in the tender, and that was the resurfacing of a small area. It looks a bit strange now as everywhere else has been done and that bit hasn t. ....

It was a cathartic night of college lacrosse action a year removed from the moment when everything was ripped away in a perfect atmosphere at Klockner Stadium with limited but boisterous on the broadcast fans in attendance. “I talked to [Virginia coach] Lars [Tiffany] before the game and was like, you know it’s a sigh of relief that we’re back at it after one year ago when things started to go haywire,” North Carolina coach Joe Breschi said. “We’re so happy for the student-athletes, continuing to remind them that it’s special to be out there because you never know when it can be taken away.
