Accompanied by daughters Ruby (11), Robyn (17) and Stacy (18), dad Dave is thrilled the song went straight to number two in the Irish itunes charts when it was launched on January 8.

Speaking on the first of two special episodes of The Euro Trip podcast to be broadcast between Christmas and New Year, Ireland’s 1994 entry, Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan, have recounted their experience of winning the contest.
In the feature length interview, Charlie McGettigan revealed he initially suggested Paul Harrington should perform the song alone on stage.
“When I was asked by Brendan Graham [the songwriter] to do it, my first reaction was that I didn’t want to do it. I thought Paul singing on his own would stand a better chance.” ....
