Tishman Speyer signed Ipsos to a 58K SF lease at The Franklin in Chicago’s West Loop. It’s another sign the downtown office market is showing some signs of life after more than a year in hibernation. The 2.5M SF Franklin consists of two connected buildings at 222 West Adams St. and 227 West Monroe St. Ipsos will occupy the 11th floor, which spans the two towers, in May 2022. The market research company will relocate from 222 South Riverside. The Franklin The Franklin complex features a number of amenities that Ipsos leaders said will ease employees’ return to the office. Claire Tylke ’20 graduated with a double major in Anthropology and Chinese and a minor in Religion. Claire now works as a Site Manager for Charles River Recreation in Boston, MA. Charles River Recreation runs a series of outdoor recreation activities in the Boston area, including kayak rentals in the summer and fall, and ice skating and cross-country skiing in the winter. Claire applied for the job through UVM’s Outing Club. Anthony Vazquez/Sun-Times Ali Lawrence wanted to establish a pro women’s hockey team in Chicago, and expected Johnny’s IceHouse East would be their home rink. But then came news Wednesday that the property at 1350 W. Madison St. is up for sale and any prospective buyer must agree not to use the West Loop property for hockey. “The North Stars have been practicing mostly out of Johnny’s East; we talked about wanting to win a banner to have hung in the rafters,” said Lawrence, president of the Chicago North Stars, an all-woman team she formed in hopes of bringing the National Women’s Hockey League to Chicago. ....
