Man shot in the face in Monroe County, police say Updated 1:06 PM; MONROE COUNTY, MI – A Monroe Township man is recovering from a not-fatal gunshot wound to the face he suffered Friday evening, police said. Emergency crews were called at 5:24 p.m. April 30, to the area of Pinecone Trail in Monroe Township for a report of a man who was shot in the face, according to Michigan State Police. The 47-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to ProMedica Hospital in Toledo for additional treatment, police said. The alleged shooter, a 45-year-old Flat Rock man, fled the scene before police arrived. He was later found at his home and taken by police for questioning, police said ....
