Australian Bauxite Ltd (ASX:ABX) Rare Earth Elements Update
FRA:A7B) is pleased to report on early results from an exploration project carried out over the last 15 months involving rare earth elements (REE) that occur within the ABx bauxite horizon. Assaying is by the NATA-registered ALS commercial laboratory, Brisbane. This exploration project was undertaken despite the difficult pandemic year and major results are: - Clays at Binjour bauxite deposit in QLD were found to contain soluble REE and ABx s exploration technology was used to identify other REE prospects in Eastern Australia - Two Tasmanian prospects, DL130 and Fingal Rail, were identified and REE assay results for 26 random drillhole samples have shown that DL130 is enriched ....
Australian Bauxite Ltd (ASX:ABX) Alcore Permanent CEO Appointment
FRA:A7B) is pleased to advise that Dr Mark Cooksey has permanently joined ABx s technology subsidiary ALCORE Limited (Alcore). Dr Cooksey was first appointed General Manager of Alcore (ASX 24 January 2020) and then CEO (ASX 24 August 2020), on a leave arrangement from Australia s national science agency, CSIRO. This appointment is now permanent, and he will lead Alcore s development and commercialisation of a new process for aluminium fluoride (AlF3) production. Dr Cooksey brings to Alcore an impressive history in research, development and commercialisation of new processes in the minerals and metals industry. He commenced his career as a Research Engineer in aluminium smelting with Comalco (now Rio Tinto Alcan) in 1997 and became a Senior Research Engineer in 2000. Mark joined CSIRO in 2004 as a Senior Research Engineer and become a Senior Principal Research Leader in 2016. ....

Keiran Leslie Staples pleaded guilty in the Childers Magistrate Court to driving while under the influence of liquor or drug and driving while disqualified from holding/obtaining a drivers licence in Childers earlier this year. In relation to the charge for disqualified driving Staples was fined $1000 which was referred to SPER, he was disqualified from holding/obtaining a drivers licence for a period of two years. In relation to the charge of driving under the influence of liquor he was sentenced to a period of nine months imprisonment, with immediate parole. ....

Police prosecutor Sergeant Ruddiman said police attention was drawn to a quad bike that was travelling with the defendant’s vehicle. “Police were alerted when the Nissan turned its lights off just momentarily, police then intercepted the Nissan.” Roth blew a reading of 0.022 when breath tested by police.
