The Detroit News View Comments The Farmington Public Schools Board of Education voted Thursday to offer Christopher Delgado the position of superintendent, the district said. The 7-0 vote by the board came after interviews this month with five candidates; the board narrowed the selection to three people for a second round of interviews this week. “We are really pleased to have had such great candidates to choose from,” stated board of education president Terri Weems. “Dr. Delgado impressed us and felt like the right fit for Farmington Public Schools based on our extensive interviews and research.” Delgado, who serves as deputy superintendent of Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, thanked the board after the vote. ....

Barth replaces Felicia Venable, who left the district earlier this year. Barth comes to the district with a background in the area of school operations, according to the district. He previously served as the operations facilities director for the Berkley School District, a role he held since 2017. Prior to that he served in a variety of facilities management roles in various school districts. ....
Farmington Public Schools board approves increasing in-person learning District will continue mask wearing, hand washing and student partitions Updated: Tags: FARMINGTON, Mich. – The Farmington Public Schools Board of Education unanimously voted 6-0 on Tuesday to increase in-person learning and relax the 6-foot social distancing measure in order to increase in-person learning for students. The district will continue other mitigation practices such as mask wearing, hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing, air filtration and student partitions. By 5-0 votes for each, Blau was appointed to fill former Board President Pam Green’s seat until January, at which time she will resign and be sworn in to her elected six-year term, and Fox was appointed to complete the rest of Vice President Terry Johnson’s days in office.
