Emergency responders rushed to Tigard Avenue in Westridge on the Berea to find the entire building engulfed in flames. 
Kyle van Reenen, who is with EMER-G-MED, says no injuries were reported.
With it being quite an old building - I stand to be corrected - but I do believe it s a listed building as well. It is quite an old structure and it did go out quite quickly. At this stage, it s unknown what caused the blaze or where it started in  the building. ....

A metal recycling business already under investigation for breaching its resource consent was last week caught illegally dumping. Now an Auckland councillor is calling for more compliance officers to be hired to stop it happening again.
A company facing penalties of $600,000 for illegally dumping scrap metal in south Auckland is also being investigated for how it manages stormwater runoff at another site in Onehunga. ....
