A man has been arrested after a robbery at Paradise. Just after 2.30pm on Tuesday 11 May, patrols were called to park on Walker Avenue after a woman had her handbag stolen by a man who then fled in a stolen Toyota sedan. The woman tried to grab her bag but the man drove off causing the woman to fall to the ground injuring her head. Patrols converged on the area and PolAir began searching for the vehicle, spotting it on Hill Street at Campbelltown. PolAir followed the vehicle as it drove through a number of side streets before the driver and sole occupant, abandoned it on Campbell Road and ran off after hitting a Subaru SUV. PolAir continue to observe the driver until patrols located and arrested him in the rear yard of a unit block on Newton Road. ....
Jamestown aged care residents living with dementia are being given an opportunity to reconnect with memories through an interactive projector, which uses light, colour and music to stimulate physical, social, and cognitive activity. The introduction of a Tovertafel machine to Helping Hand’s Belalie Lodge will enable patients to respond to active cues through play, stimulating movement and connecting them to others and their environment. Interactive games allow people to virtually feed birds, turn spots into fireworks and pop bubbles among other activities, and more importantly, spark conversations. The Tovertafel, which originated in the Netherlands, has been provided to the Jamestown aged care facility thanks to the tireless efforts of the Belalie Lodge Auxiliary which helped fund the $15,000 machine. ....

The fiery crash happened on the Western Highway at Serviceton about 2.20am on February 11 when the South Australian border was largely shut to Victorians. Investigators have been told a B-double truck crashed into the back of a stationary truck in front of it.
