While cops from
Faraskhana police station took action against the traders and shopkeepers on buzzing Laxmi Road, there was no visible action taken against restaurant owners and those belonging to the hospitality industry. ....

Last year, the eight-month
lockdown crippled the food and
hospitality industry and just when the situation was improving, the 15-day ‘janta curfew’ has come like a death blow to hoteliers and restaurateurs. “It took me six years to build my business, but now we are struggling to stay afloat,” said Piyush Deshmukh, owner of The Chef’s Way Café on Khadki-Aundh Road. Others in the industry echoed Deshmukh’s sentiments, saying that those in the hospitality business were conscientiously following all COVID-19 safe ....
