THE STANDARD COUNTIES The vehicle was found towed to Homa Bay Police Station. [James Omoro, Standard] Police on Wednesday found bhang worth Sh65,500 in an abandoned car in Rangwe, Homa Bay County. The discovery was made after members of the public informed the police that the vehicle had been left unattended for hours at Ngegu market. On inspection, the police officers found 605 rolls of bhang stashed in the boot of the Toyota Ipsum. The vehicle was towed to Homa Bay Police Station. Confirming the incident, Homa Bay County Police Commander Esther Seroney said police are hunting for suspects who abandoned the car. ....

465kg hashish, 400kg bhang seized in 15 days Karachi March 13, 2021 The Sindh Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has foiled attempts to smuggle 465 kilograms of hashish and 400 kilograms of bhang and also arrested five suspects during four major operations in the last fortnight. The spokesman for the department said on Thursday excise personnel foiled an attempt to bring a large quantity of hashish to Karachi. During a search of a truck at the Jacobabad check post near the Agriculture College on Shikarpur Road, 140 kilograms of hashish was found, and Muhammad Tahir, resident of Jamshoro, was arrested. The excise team also impounded the truck. ....
