Other states with more than 100 new cases include Sarawak, Johor, Perak, Penang and Sabah. On the flip side, the number of active cases continued to decline as recoveries outpaced new cases. KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 The Health Ministry reported 2,192 new Covid-19 cases in the country over the past day, along with another six deaths. Today’s new cases were markedly lower than the 3,297 registered yesterday. Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor’s 910 made it the state with most new cases, ahead of Kuala Lumpur (303) and Sarawak (221). ....
JOHOR BARU: Manufacturing associations have welcomed the International Trade and Industry Ministry’s call for local and foreign companies to help reduce Covid-19 infections in order for businesses to keep open. Malaysian Knitting Manufacturers Association assistant treasurer Seow King Chong said the association continuously reminded its members to educate workers about SOP compliance and limit their movements to check the spread of the virus.
