The Klang Valley made up more than half of the new cases today. 
Other states with more than 100 new cases include Sarawak, Johor, Perak, Penang and Sabah.
On the flip side, the number of active cases continued to decline as recoveries outpaced new cases.
Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah reported a total of 3,414 new recoveries today.
The number of patients in the intensive care unit is also at the lowest level since Jan 14.
Active cases: 32,076
Another six people died from Covid-19, bringing the death toll to 1,062. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 The Health Ministry reported 2,192 new Covid-19 cases in the country over the past day, along with another six deaths.
Today’s new cases were markedly lower than the 3,297 registered yesterday.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor’s 910 made it the state with most new cases, ahead of Kuala Lumpur (303) and Sarawak (221). ....

Manufacturers taking steps to break infection chain


JOHOR BARU: Manufacturing associations have welcomed the International Trade and Industry Ministry’s call for local and foreign companies to help reduce Covid-19 infections in order for businesses to keep open.
Malaysian Knitting Manufacturers Association assistant treasurer Seow King Chong said the association continuously reminded its members to educate workers about SOP compliance and limit their movements to check the spread of the virus.
He said it was vital that companies give their full cooperation in the matter as the national economy could not afford to have further setbacks after declining last year due to the pandemic.
“Besides the health threat, if there is an outbreak in a factory, the management will incur losses from mass employee testing, staff quarantine and disrupted production. ....
