Fear Thy Neighbor is investigating the murder of Giancarlo “John” Banova, who died from a hail of bullets after engaging in a shootout with his neighbor, James Stapleton, in a quiet neighborhood in Nevada’s Las Vegas in 2015.
On May 7, 2015, Banova and Stapleton’s longstanding feud culminated in a dramatic shootout just outside their homes; this ended with both men injured.
The 60-year-old Banova was hit in the head with several shotgun wounds and was transported to a hospital, but tragically he lost his life a week later.

Fear Thy Neighbor on ID is examining the murder of Mark Xander by neighbor Charles “Pete” Richter Jr in Stevensville, Maryland, in 2011.
Richter was a retired cop who moved into the same street as Xander 14 years before he killed him. The pair had argued for years over various noise complaints, but it was Xander’s dog that caused the feud to turn particularly bitter and violent.

Fear Thy Neighbor is investigating the murder of Jerry Franklin Wilson, who was gunned down as he entered his home by his neighbor Herbert Snipes in Danville, Virginia, in 2017.
Snipes had been in dispute with the 61-year-old Wilson for several years over a boundary line separating their properties. He believed that the city authorities had illegally sold his part of his land to the neighboring property. Snipes’s complaint had even preceded Wilson moving to the property.
