The Courier-Tribune As a first-generation college student with no financial support, Jaylin Brower began selling marijuana as an answer to his money problems, a choice that would cost him his education at Western Carolina University after a felony conviction. Brower, 25, born in Ramseur, would describe himself as an at-risk unaccompanied homeless youth in his teenage years.
