Karasik Named First ABI Vice President-Diversity & Inclusion

The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announced that Eve H. Karasik of Levene Neale Bender Yoo & Brill (Los Angeles) has been named to a two-year term as the first ABI Vice President-Diversity & Inclusion. The position was created this year to reflect ABIâs commitment to implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives as identified by ABIâs Diversity & Inclusion Working Group. An ABI member since 1997, Karasik has served on ABIâs Executive Committee since 2019 and been part of the Board of Directors for several years, co-chaired ABIâs Bankruptcy Battleground West conference, served on the leadership of ABIâs Ethics Committee and is a frequent speaker at ABI events.

On 10 June 2020, the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Chief Executive, President and I issued a statement on the Black Lives Matter movement setting out how the Society could use its channels to enact positive change and address racial inequality, both within the Society and across the Aviation and Aerospace sectors. In that statement, we committed ourselves to a number of actions and I wanted to take this opportunity to provide an update on progress.
