Charan Gill’s activism spanned the co-founding of the Canadian Farmworkers Union, establishing of a national anti-racism organization and creating and heading the thriving Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society. He died Feb. 2, age 84.

Today, the Latino Community Foundation (LCF) launched a statewide effort to increase access to information, resources to grassroots organizations, and confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine. In partnership with a network of Latino-led organizations in the Central Valley, Central Coast, and Inland Empire, the campaign will invest in culturally relevant resources for COVID-19 prevention and vaccination.

THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental-North has identified 15 agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (Arbos) to supply agricultural products, mainly food for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), among jails in northern part of the province, specifically feeding their persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
The effort was anchored on the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program initiated by the agency s Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD). ....
