‘Keep one eye on farms and the other on the farm laws made by the government’
Rashtriya Lok Dal vice president Jayant Chaudhary said on Tuesday that the BJP government was trying different methods to break the unity of farmers, but has failed. “It has been 104 days and the heavy turnout in these panchayats is a proof that farmers are coming out on their own against the farm laws,” he said while addressing yet another kisan panchayat in western Uttar Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi termed farmers as patriots and appealed to citizens to support them.
New Delhi:
As the ninth round of talks between the Centre and farmers failed to resolve the deadlock over the three agriculture laws, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the government wants to tire out the protestors by engaging them over long discussions. There is no deadlock. The government, in its arrogance, believes that they can tire out farmers. But farmers cannot be fooled. Indian farmers know more than the Prime Minister. There is only one solution that they have to take back the laws, Mr Gandhi said while addressing a press conference after releasing a booklet over the three Central farm laws at the party headquarters in Delhi.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday announced that 16 opposition political parties will be boycotting President Ram Nath Kovind s address to a joint sitting of Parliament on Friday, the first day of the budget session. We are issuing a statement from 16 political parties that we are boycotting President s Address that is scheduled to be delivered at Parliament tomorrow.
