Praj bags prestigious breakthrough order from HPCL March 10, 2021 Shishir Joshipura, CEO and MD, Praj Industries× To set up a project in UP using proprietary microbe to produce compressed biogas from rice straw. Praj Industries has bagged the prestigious breakthrough order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for setting up the Compressed Biogas (CBG) project at Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. Praj is offering its state of the art RenGas technology developed using proprietary microbe to produce CBG from rice straw. The project can process 35,000 MT of rice straw as feedstock to generate 5,250 MT of CBG annually. Also, the project will generate 23,000 MT high quality solid bio- manure and 350,000 MT of liquid bio-manure for ferti-irrigation. This project has the potential to save up to 15,000 MT of CO2 emissions per year. The project will be completed and commissioned within 12 months timeframe.

UP Woman Forced to Drink Acid, Stabbed by Neighbour for Resisting Sexual Assault Attempt FOLLOW US ON: In a shocking incident, a woman in Sikri village of Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district was forced to drink acid and then stabbed in the stomach by her neighbour after she resisted his attempts to sexually assault her inside her home. The 30-year-old woman was admitted to the district hospital by police, but she has now been referred to the Higher Centre, Bareilly, due to her serious condition. Her alleged attacker, Satendra, has been arrested, police said. According to the police, late in Monday night, Satendara, who is the woman’s neighbour, entered her house forcibly and started molesting her, but when she resisted his advances, he forced her to drink acid. When she tried to shout to alert people, Satendra attacked her with a knife kept nearby, injuring her in the abdomen.
