Close to 2,000 Taal responders get vaccine

Published July 18, 2021, 10:47 AM BATANGAS CITY– Around 2,000 individuals received their first jab in a special mass vaccination program of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 at the provincial Dream Zone Center in Batangas City for Taal Volcano eruption responders, evacuees and priority groups from different local government units (LGUs), the whole of Friday, July 16. Emergency responders from different units of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Batangas Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Air Force (PAF) and Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Offices (DRRMOs) wasted no time in taking the opportunity to be vaccinated to make themselves more efficient responders and improve their immune system.

DOH, DPWH open BatMC modular COVID-19 treatment facilities

Calamba City, May 6 (PIA) - Major hospitals in Batangas province will soon expand their capacity after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Health (DOH) formally opened the three modular treatment facilities at the Batangas Medical Center (BatMC) last April 30.  (FROM LEFT TO RIGHT) Assistant Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco, Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega, Assistant Secretary Maria Francia Laxamana and DPWH 2nd District of Batangas Engineer Sonia D. Roque: COVID-19 attack rate in Philippines still at high risk level

PANTI, GMA News Published April 29, 2021 1:58pm The daily attack rate of COVID-19 in the country remains at high risk level with 19 to 55 new COVID-19 per 100,000 population, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Thursday. Roque made the announcement a day after President Rodrigo Duterte extended the implementation of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) protocol in Metro Manila and nearby provinces until May 14. MECQ prohibits non-essential trips and allows non-essential businesses and services to operate partially. “[The number of] national and NCR COVID-19 cases is decreasing, but the average daily attack rate remains above high risk threshold,” Roque said during the Palace briefing.
