LYNDHURST For years, members of the Passaic River Rowing Association would trek down to the banks of the eponymous river to an old train tunnel, which since 1999, had served as the club s unconventional boathouse. Starting in 2022, things will be slightly more state of the art.
On Friday, Bergen County Executive James Tedesco and other local and county officials took part in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new rowing center at Riverside County Park in Lyndhurst. I m honored to join you all today as we break ground on a visionary project, which upon completion will become a cornerstone of Bergen County s park system, Tedesco said to the crowd of a few dozen on hand for the ceremony.
