Gratitude for faithful customers marks the attitude of Texas Hot Dogs’ Dane Lamont, after nine months of struggling with coronavirus restrictions while for other owners, the pandemic has given birth to resentment, resignation, creativity, concern for employees and even a recognition that sometimes terrible things have benefits. “We have a nice set of regulars that seem to come in, rain or shine,” Lamont said of his customers. “Other restaurants have not built up that kind of clientele, and things are tough for them.” ....

Eric Robinson Jr., 29, wore a ski mask, gloves, and head-to-toe black clothing in the robberies that happened at four gas stations and one pizza shop between May and June of 2018, officials said. Robinson hit a Circle-K on May 23, a Hungry Howie’s pizza shop, a 7-Eleven, and Sunoco on June 4, and another 7-Eleven on June 15, all in the same year, according to federal court documents. ....
