Two Kalkallo businesses have been identified as tier one COVID-19 exposure sites. Caltex and Hungry Jack’s on the Hume Highway have been listed as tier one exposure sites on Thursday, July 8 between 9.07am and 10.06am. Anyone who attended the venues during those times is required to get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days. The health department said a COVID-positive person had refueled at a bowser and used the toilets at the Caltex. Victoria has recorded seven new local cases of COVID-19 in addition to the one infection announced earlier today. The first case confirmed this morning was the fourth member of the City of Hume family who returned from Sydney on a red zone permit. One new case is a man in his 30s who attended the exposure site of Coles Craigieburn on July 10. His infection is linked to the family of four who returned from Sydney and broke quarantine rules by visiting the Coles and a petrol station. COVID-19 response commander Jeroen Weimar said the seven cases were in addition to the one new infection confirmed overnight, the fourth member of a family that had returned from Sydney, as part of the regular daily reporting and would be included in tomorrow’s official figures. Four of the new cases were third-floor residents at the Ariele Apartments complex in Maribyrnong that was visited by two COVID-positive removalists from NSW last week. The parents of one of the positive apartment residents, a man in his 60s, also tested positive. The couple, aged 89 and 90, live in Craigieburn. ....
