A Nashville- and Birmingham-based homebuilder will construct the first spate of single-family dwellings in June Lake, the newest mixed-use community in Spring Hill, developers announced Thursday.
Signature Homes will build the community s first 400 detached homes and townhomes in addition to an amenity center on 86.5 acres of the 775-acre project.
The mixed-use development described as a gateway to Spring Hill is anchored by a new Interstate 65 interchange, which will connect the city to the major traffic artery at exit 56. A new roadway off of this interchange will be named June Lake Boulevard, development management firm Southeast Venture announced in March.

At least two new projects could be added to the Spring Hill Neighborhood Sidewalk and Greenway Plan as part of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen s upcoming 2021-2022 fiscal budget.
Spring Hill Senior Project Manager Missy Stahl presented the proposed projects on Monday during BOMA s non-voting work session. The projects include pathways to be installed at the Winter Park and Spring Meadow subdivisions, which would cost approximately $158,900.
The projects are also staff-identified items, meaning the funding wouldn t require any additional revenue spending from the neighborhoods Home Owners Association. Although the final numbers slightly exceed the city s $150,000 sidewalk project budget, Stahl said the city s Transportation Advisory Committee recommends it be increased to cover the full $158,900 amount.

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) â The Tennessee Department of Transportation has chosen a company for the design-build contract for a new I-65 interchange at Buckner Road in Spring Hill and officials say they expect it to be completed by May of 2023.
The project will extend Buckner Road from Buckner Lane to Lewisburg Pike across I-65 with a Diverging Diamond Interchange. The City of Spring Hill kickstarted the project with a $25 million BUILD grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation in late 2018.
