NILES â A promoter from Lansing hopes to bring a cannabis music festival to Niles in July or September, a first for the city, where people could buy and consume marijuana. Organizers have told officials that it could draw 5,000 to 10,000 people across the two-day event, a thought that inspires city council members in terms of business and attention for Niles. Council member John DiCostanzo said the 21-and-older event could be a âmini-Woodstock.â But the council also echoed city Administrator Ric Huffâs desire to be âconservatively cautiousâ on how big it gets, at least this year, since âthere are a lot of unknowns and a lot of opportunities for it to morph into something thatâs not expected.â ....
