Flashback: They stole the last presidential election

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe spent years accusing Republicans and the Supreme Court of stealing the 2000 election behavior he now says makes our democracy look bad around the globe.
During a private Monday fundraiser, McAuliffe told donors he is so tired of those who question President Joe Biden s electoral win, saying the claims are hurting our country and hurting those young men and women in uniform. Within hours of taking over the Democratic National Committee in 2001, however, McAuliffe embraced a conspiracy theory that former president George W. Bush s 2000 election win was stolen, a claim he continued to make for at least three years.
ROCKFORD Authorities on Friday said they have completed investigations into a pair of recent police shootings, including the April 10 fatal shooting of Faustin Guetigo, 27.
Winnebago-Boone County Integrity Task Force Commander Chuck Davidson handed over the results of the investigations to Winnebago County State s Attorney J. Hanley.
In addition to the shooting of Guetigo by a Winnebago County sheriff s deputy, the task force also was investigating the nonfatal April 11 shooting of Jose J. Gonzalez Jr., 19, by a Rockford Police Department officer.
It is now up to Hanley to review the evidence in both cases to determine if any police officers should be charged with a crime.

Glenn Younkin on the legitimacy of President Joe Biden’s election
Glenn Youngkin, the Republican nominee for governor, says there’s nothing new about his recent proclamations that President Joe Biden was legitimately elected to the office.
“I mean, the reality is, and I have said this before, Joe Biden was legitimately elected our president,” Youngkin said during a May 13 interview on Fox Business. “He took the oath and was sworn in. He’s sleeping in the White House. He’s unfortunately signing executive order after executive order.”
